If you love sweet, juicy strawberries and having soft, kisses-ready lips, you’ll need to try this homemade natural lip scrub recipe! This vegan-friendly exfoliating lip scrub is super easy to make, will help you remove rough skin from your lips, soften and moisturise them, and tastes delicious too.
Strawberries contain malic acid, a wonderful natural exfoliant that gently combats dry, chapped lips, and helps reveal fresh soft skin.
To make a homemade lip scrub you will need:
- 1 ripe strawberry
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon brown granulated sugar
- small bowl
- fork
- washcloth
Preparation:
In a small bowl, mash the strawberry with a fork, then add the olive oil and sugar. Mix the three ingredients thoroughly. Use your finger to apply the mixture to your lips in circular motions. Gently massage for 2-3 minutes to remove rough skin. Wipe off with warm water and a washcloth, and follow with a moisturising lip balm.
Remember that the skin on your lips is very thin and delicate. While using this lip scrub, apply only gentle pressure and don’t exfoliate too often - once a week is enough to keep your pouts soft and supple.
